About the Role:

We are seeking a Junior Accountant to support day‑to‑day accounting and reporting activities across multiple entities. Key responsibilities include booking cash and credit card transactions, preparing monthly and quarterly workpapers, posting journal entries, saving and organizing NAV statements, and assisting with capital call and distribution files. The role also supports investor communications—including capital notices, account statements, and K‑1 distributions—and contributes to ad‑hoc projects as needed.

 

Responsibilities

What you will do:

  • Saving down NAV statements as received
  • Booking cash and credit card transactions weekly across a number of entities/accounts
  • Booking adjusting journal entries monthly/quarterly depending on underlying investment reporting
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly workpapers for manager review
  • Prepare capital call and distribution files for manager review
  • Send out investor communications including capital notices, account statements, and K1s
  • Other projects as needed

 

Qualifications

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • Are comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment

  • Are highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities

  • Have working knowledge of the 1099 process

  • Have experience booking journal entries in accounting systems

  • Are experienced in preparing work papers and supporting month-end close

  • Demonstrate strong Excel skills, including formulas such as lookups, SUMIFS, and pivot tables

  • Exercise sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information

 

Ideally, you have…

  • Experience with QuickBooks online
  • Experience with Investran/FIS Private Capital Suite
  • Experience with or knowledge of alternative investments
  • Experience with JP Morgan Access, JP Morgan Online, CitiBusiness Online
  • Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot)
  • CPA track or parts passed
