Compensation

The salary for this role is $140,000 - $160,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.

 

About the Role:

We are seeking an Associate, Finance / Capital Markets to support acquisition financings, construction financings, and refinancing activities across LS Power’s development and private equity platforms. Working alongside senior team members, this role will assist with transaction execution, lender engagement, financial analysis, and capital markets activities while gaining exposure to a broad range of financing structures and investments.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

  • Support development and private equity transactions and assist with financing execution across multiple platforms.
  • Assist with acquisition financings, construction financings, and refinancings, including diligence, lender coordination, and documentation review.
  • Build lender presentations, information memoranda, and syndication materials.
  • Prepare and maintain lender financial models.
  • Support fund-level and corporate financings such as subscription facilities, NAV facilities, revolving credit facilities, and GP/co-invest structures.
  • Assist with interest rate hedging and financing-related risk management activities.
  • Maintain market intelligence regarding lender appetite, pricing, structures, and precedent transactions.
  • Support preparation of rating agency materials and assist with rating agency engagements.

Qualifications

  • Experience across a variety of financing structures, including holding company financings, renewable energy, thermal generation, infrastructure, and development transactions.
  • Understanding of debt capital markets, project finance, and leveraged finance execution.
  • Familiarity with financing market dynamics and transaction structuring considerations.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities with experience interpreting financial model outputs.

Ideally, you also have

  • Have 4+ years of relevant experience in project finance, leveraged finance, investment banking, private equity, infrastructure investing, or capital markets.
  • Possess experience with credit analysis and transaction structuring.
  • Can review and understand financing documentation and credit agreements.
  • Have strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Are highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of supporting multiple live transactions simultaneously.
